Father God, you have been the Lord of the church for centuries. May we find unity through our shared relationship with You, for You have loved us and given Your Son as an offering in order to reconcile us to You. May we act with this spirit of reconciliation in all our relationships, and especially within Your church. We pray these things in the name of Jesus, Amen.

What’s Your Plan For The Future
Good morning:
This is Laity Sunday.
The observance of Laity Sunday originated in the United Methodist Church to emphasize the role of lay members in the life and work of the church. It's a way to affirm the deep conviction that God's mission is for everyone and to encourage ministry both inside and outside the church walls.
In essence, Laity Sunday is a call to action, inspiring every member of the church to embrace their divine calling to serve, share their faith, and actively participate in God's work in the world.
The theme this year is “Together by Grace! Be Strong in the Spirit.”
“What’s Your Plan For The Future”
Luke 16:19-31
Key Points:
• Money is not your God.
• Learn to make the right choices.
• God’s word is able to stand alone.![]()
Opening Prayer
Almighty God, as we gather in worship on this Communion Sunday, we ask that you send your Holy Spirit to fall afresh on us. Thank you, Father, that You have promised to hear the prayers and petitions of Your servants and to nourish us with your body and blood of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord. Help me to prepare my heart as I partake of the bread and wine, which are the two beautiful symbols of Christ body broken for me, and His precious blood shed for me. I am not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under Your table and yet You stooped down to save a wretch like me. We pray this in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ. Amen.
